Re: How to find the brand of my HK416
Does it have a mosfet in the stock and is full metal? If so then its generally going to be a JG. Have you tried looking for small brand stamps around the body?

>>Nice guy!
Some photos of the top rail and magwell should help.
Does it have any trades/markings, or not?
Is there something like a dovetail joint on the top rail or not?
Is it plastic bodied or a metal reciever?

Try taking a look at the motor (as long as your mate kept it stock).

Re: How to find the brand of my HK416
Hi,
I got the same problem here ... I got no idea what brand my Hk416 is ...
There are no markings on the chasis, exept for the ones the real thing has, and if you open it, there is "SB" engraved on the side of the motor. I do not know any manufacturer by that name ... The chasing is part metal part plastic, it has an A4 stock with the battery in it, and the barrel is about 15cm longer than the RIS ...

I believe this is a JG model, at least given the SB marking on the internals (I've got a knacked JG v2 Gearbox I'd planned to rebuild sitting around here somewhere with the SB marking on the right side of the casing)
