12 bore shotgun primers

My dad does a lot of hunting with rifles and shotguns.

I've just bought an oshi boom which uses the .209 shot gun primer, my had dad has about 50 million primers becuase he reloads his own ammunition,

I was just wondering if a 12 bore shotgun primer would work in an oshi boom, I'm unsure of the size of a shotgun primer,

Dan,

Shotgun primers should be fine... I suspect your dad may be using a slightly lower powered primer than the CX2000 clerinox primers that seem to be ubiquitous in airsoft so a little less flash and a very slightly quieter bang, but they'll fit and be more than noticeable.

I know its slightly off topic but I know some sites don't like 12G primers ****** ***** only allow 9mm BFGs

Are you sure they're not just specifying no 12g blanks? It wouldn't make sense to allow 9mm but not primers.

12G blank = BIG BANG!!
9mm blank = BANG
.209 primer = cough/fart

what meddy said Its to do with loudness ive had a 12g go off next to my head when i was playing as a sniper lieing down in a bush it really was a ooooo SH*t moment and if it goes off next to your head they really are quite painful
