Re: Quick question
There may be a 'use the
x
one' answer but I'd say try both, see if you get different results

aye, i would do this but i hate opening my gun up so i would have to get a mate to put this in and i dont really want to ask him to open my gun up 3 times just for the hop, plus hes also building 2 other guns for me so i dont want to be even more of a pain in the ass ya see

Re: Quick question
The silicone one provides a better seal at the cost of easier wear and tear and shorter life span. The black bucking is much more durable, works with higher fps systems, but does not create as much hop in lower fps guns.

Re: Quick question
the soft one is for use on guns below 380fps I think, whereas the hard one is for use on guns above, so if you cant try them both then put the soft one in, Im using a soft prometheus hop and bucking in my long gun which is on the nose 350fps and thats fine.
section 24 of the 1968 Act
Supplying imitation firearms to minors
1)It is an offence for a person under the age of eighteen to purchase an imitation firearm
2)It is an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of eighteen.

Re: Quick question
Unless you are very lucky you will have to try Both! I have the black ones in a few guns and on the whole they work great. But sometimes it makes them worse. Also some makes of BB's shoot worse using these nubs than others. I have noticed better results with Classic Army guns than with TM.
There is no hard and fast rules with these you have to pop them in try them and then play with the setup until you get what you want. Spend some time with your hop getting it bedded in and tuned correctly.
As a general rule put the black one in low to standard power'd guns and the white one in high power and sniper rifles.

And there is your problem! I have the black ones in my AEG's and they work great. I had a white one in a sniper rifle and it made a massive improvement. Other people get better results the other way round. This is why you need to test new components and set them up for your gun. Just look at the Zeroone BB thread some love them some hate them. If you are going to tune your gun you are going to have to spend time on it.
