If you Patrol the net, I believe that there is a Base in Huddersfield that sells it for just £6.50 a can.

you dont need krylon i used humbrol and its worked perfectly plus you can get so many more colour options with it, and nothing can scratch it of, i fell onto my g36 stock which was lime green with a chair that had a metal backing and didnt scratch any paint off, it just dented the stock lol i sprayed my shotgun in a dark flat earth colour and it looked great, best paint you can get in my opinion. plus they are like 3 quid a can

                  Re: Krylon paint.

krylon paint is designed to not require varnish or laquer to protect it, its an all in one paint where you do not need to sand or primer prep area before painting when fully dry it becomes a very hard strong protective layer in itself. if you do varnish or laquer it you will lose that nice dull non shiny finish plus it may react with the kylon and create some strange affects. if it does come off over time just treat the areas with a bit more kylon. its great stuff abd would use it again.

                    Re: Krylon paint.

not quite, there is a krylon primer, in some situations its better to prime the surface, and in most situations a light sand always helps. depends on what your doing to what.

krylon is pretty rock solid, just give it time to dry, it might seem dry to touch, but give it a day or so before giving the item any abuse

I am planning to paint parts of my gun sand but also need to paint the body as it is looking rather worse for wear.

Would krylon give it a nice metal finish??
