what i dont understand, is the "secure grip, improved CQB stance" parts

you shouldnt be holding the magwell on a real armalite anyway.. its horrible weapon form, gives bad recoil control, and can cause misfeeds and jams if you pressure the mag..

edit- the money saving part makes perfect sense though... :D

does it, as far as i was aware the americans get told i training that this is a place you can grip.

EDIT : it can however cause your shooting to be les accurate, but WILL NOT cause jams or damage to the mag

because your arms are close together (because your hands are closer together) I would imagine the improved stance would come from the fact that you could jam your elbow into your upper body, thus ensuring that your body is also taking some of the weight of the rifle and providing more support than just an outstretched arm

The weight or jamming/blockages? - Anyway, had a go with one; someone gave me their Armalite to 'impress' his new bits and bobs for his tart, quite comfy as apposed to flatness.

Lovely and rigid, would I buy one? - Probably, I tend to grab on the fore grip or use a part of the sling for support. But thats me anyway, people have different preferences.

take a peek into the FAB defense grips same sort of thing, but lovely and moulded ...

you need to sand it down a bit on the inside to make it fit snugly as they are designed for a real armalite, bit once you do, they are excellent!

basically its gives the magwell a wider opening to its faster to slam mags in as you dont have to line it up with the magwell

no shadow its just a rubber covering that goes over the mag well, it liiks like a fish fin

There's tactical magwells and magwell grips. THe former is as shadow describes and the latter is a bunch of poo.

I have seen them combined.
