My L85

I am wanting to disable the blowback on my Army Armament L85 A2.
i have read a few descriptions but no one seems to explain very clear.
Currently i have just taken out the body pins and am in the proces of removing the top half from the bottom half. it seems to be extreamy stiff and wont budge,
(ideas to separate them ?)
Also once that is done does anyone know of a good link to a good demonstration or themselves can explain what needs to be done to disable the blowback .
