Re: Gas Blowback Pistols?
In Non blow back pistols, the slide obviously doesn't move, so it does spring load the bb into the chamber, which should in theory get you a much much quicker rate of fire, and they are quieter, so perfect side-arms for Snipers...
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer...

Re: Gas Blowback Pistols?
Currently the two best GBB & NBB are the mighty TM MEU 1911 this is a Gas Blow Back with the range of an Aeg and the look's of a God!
And by far the very best Non Blow Back is the TM MK23 Socom this pistol can and has out-ranged many Sniper rifles and has the accuracy to match.
You will not regret buying either of these pistols.
These are my opinion's and you are welcome to them...

Totally agree. Had the Socom, and have the MEU. Both are amazing guns. And very well priced.
Only problem with GBBs as oppose to NBBs is that the GBBs tend to consume more gas. None exhibit this more than the MEU and Socom. The MEU eats through gas like a kid in a candy store, and the socom is very, very stingy.

Quieter yes. But the BB isn't magically sprung into the chamber. The trigger pull moves the loading nozzle. Meaning, you're putting in the energy, rather than the gas doing the work, like in a GBB. Gives much better economy, but a much heavier trigger pull, and slower rate of fire.

It's a modern TM GBB. Solid pistol, little wrong with it. Personally I don't like them. Too big for me. They have a specific hop up rubber as well, which is annoying, and tend to suffer from the slide breaking, where the slide catch meets it, if used as a main weapon for a year or so. Metal kits are expensive, and really don't help performance. So overall, they're allright, but wont last like a Glock 17 or hi capa.

I don't like your opinons at all. If you seriously think your TM Mk.23 can outrange my sniper rifle, I'll meet you at GZ next game. Accuracy as well. There's no pistol that's that good. Thing is with pistols, is the sight base is so small, and you don't expect so much from them, that when you do manage to hit the target you're aiming at, you're more impressed than you are when you hit it with your AEG. They are entirely different beasts. Don't compare them.
The TM 1911 is a good pistol too. Not the best by a long way. Go and buy a SCW2 WA GBB and tell me which you prefer. The other thing about the 1911 is it's complete inability to finish a mag of BBs before it runs out of gas. The TM 2011s fare much better in this respect. The 4.3 having esentially the same working system as the 1911, is a much more practical pistol. Or the Glock 17. Better economy, has much better ergonomics than the 1911 or 2011 and features a handy little steel part inside the plastic slide, which stops the slide catch eating away at it. I'd say the Glock 17 is TMs best pistol to date. May not look as nice as some other pistols, but it's much more practical.

Re: Gas Blowback Pistols?
Agree with dope, I'd like to see your MEU outrange my AK, and bearing in mind I own a 1911 and a MEU, I know how the ranges compare. Don't get me wrong, I do rate them, the accuracy and range is impressive, but unless you get a good fill of gas they don't like emptying the mag

Re: Gas Blowback Pistols?
well my KJworks p226 is very thirsty on gas and i can barely get a full mag out of it!
it does though have one of the most satifying kicks because of its heavy slide!
i have fired the mk23 socom by TM and to be honest i wasnt overly impressed. it was quite......very quiet ill give it that but the trigger pull was stiff and i didnt like that. it was also very plasticy(but arent all TMs?) it had ok accuracy but you rigth it doesnt match that of an AEG!
