    tm type 89

    im iterested in geting a tm type 89 and was wondering if anyones knows if they can take m16 mags.

    Yes, they take STANAG style magazines.

      yes they take do but obviously certain makes fit better then others as with all rifles

        The mags have to fit very well as the Type 89 has a hole at the top of the magwell which can spew out BBs towards the shooter at whatever fps the gun is firing at!

          In response to the last post the slit in the side of the magwell is only about 4mm not enough to allow a round through.

          mine has taken many stanags but the only 1 that covers the hole in the side is the tm t89 mags
