An example of excellent customer service.
12 May, 2010, 21:46
I recently broke part of the hop on my GBBR GHK AKS-74U when I got a bit brutal with it while taking it out to swap over the hop rubber, nub and barrel.
I couldn't find any replacement ones anywhere, so ordered a RaTech metal one, which cost me just under $60 from HK.
Then, while nosing around a US forum, I found a post by a guy who had done exactly the same thing. He emailed GHK and they replaced the hop for the cost of postage.
I decided to try this myself, so an email went off to them asking for the cost of a replacement. After a couple of days, they replied that they would send a replacement for the cost of $25 (about £17). I thought that this was a bit high for postage, but decided to go for it anyway.
This was now a week ago and the RaTech one hasn't turned up, but GHK haven't sent me a hop, instead they've sent me
three
complete with c-clips. Basically, that's less than £6 each for factory replacements including postage from Taiwan:D
Moral of the story? GHK don't just make lovely guns, they're also really nice people to deal with.

Yeah, I can't recommend them highly enough. I've just been test firing it in the back garden and with a new black python TB and shark rubber, it's hitting nearly 500fps and kicks like a mule. Time to play with the NPAS!
RaTech were great with the NPAS, but they've let themselves down with the hop.

Re: An example of excellent customer service.
To be honest, I don't know.
I bought mine as a ready built gun, for £315 including 3 mags, from a UK retailer.
Then, add the NPAS, Kobra, RaTech hop (my fault that one!),GHK hops (oops again), shark rubber, H nub, black python barrel, 5 more mags, AK pouches, real steel wood pistol grip...............
They're a fantastic gun, and can be easily skirmished out of the box, but I've spent more on this gun alone than on all my others combined!

Re: An example of excellent customer service.
I was very conscious of the noise while I was testing it earlier.
I fired a .22 converted SLR at Lympstone some years ago and the GHK kicks just as much!
