Barrel extention, range?

Hey, my primary is a Dboys scar, the range and accuracy is pretty good and ive put a rubber hurricane hop up in it, however i still get out ranged by alot of people at my airsoft site. I was reading up and some people say a barrel extention betters range but some dont. ifi extended thhe barrel of my scar would the range increase?

Is this the quick swap barrel? I've heard they suffer from poor airseals due to the barrel moving.

Barrel lengh makes no difference. Proven by the fact the tiny P90 barrel 247mm give more range than the big 400mm+ barrelled weapons.

If you want range and accuracy....

Good hop rubber/nub. Tightbore barrel (or TK twist if you like!). .25g ammo :D

Nope the dboys scar is just like an M4. And the extension is only a few inches long and just screws onto the outer barrel. A longer barrel will have more time to give the projectile more stability. So it will have some difference, but not an awful lot. A good hop rubber, and quality TB will be the best option

Probably not really.

Range is in the hop. You need to set it right, take some time to really tune it in.

Otherwise.... you could always get closer

At 40 - 50 meters, you need somebody to stay still for about 3 seconds to get the BB there afterall :D

Good quality ammo will do more than buying a tightbore ( if your currently using cheap ammo )

as above, the extra range given to BBs is at the back of barrel.
When i first started airsoft i was using rifle rules, hence i now have a m4 with a 510mm barrell, accuracy went up tiny bit, but didnt make up for the extra lenth in my opinion
