SR15 style rail to fit G&G tr418

I've seen a few of these on American sites but can't find them anywhere in the uk apart from the G&P one. Does anyone know if you can get an sr15 front end that would fit a G&G? Or just a similar rail that will fit? 2 inches longer than the 416 rail.

Sure you're not thinking of one of the Remington or Geissele rails that people put on their 416s for SEAL impressions?

If you put a rail for an AR derivative like the SR-15 on a 416 replica, then assuming the G&G is made like other 416s, the top picatinny on your upper receiver will be much higher than on the the handguard. Various other differences on the forend with the HK platform as well like the large gas block, the barrel nut and the outer barrel all being different to an AR.

Would the TR15 Long be a better model to build on then if I'm building an ar derivative? How interchangeable is the handguard on they with other m4/ar airsoft variants

VFC has already made KAC replica guns just like for a long time. Buying one of those will look far better and be much more solid (and cheaper) than trying to build it yourself.

Yeah I saw the VFC sr15 e3 just was struggling to find UK dealers

No real demand for them in the UK any more. If you want one you'll have to import most likely, no reason not to if you got with a decent Hong Kong store.

Roughly how much does importing it cost? import tax ect.

If the package is properly declared and customs actually cares that day, you pay 20% of the value of said package + the postage in VAT and something around a tenner for the 'handling fee'. If it crosses a certain threshold there's import duty as well but that's less than VAT, you can find the details on the HMRC website.

In terms of internal parts, what other brands do VFC work with? Or would I have to import parts as well?

Their V2 gearboxes are very much standard. Usual 'airsoft tolerances' but the internals are generic.
