  • My mags

hello i got my new gun today :D but for the mags to feed the need to be pushed foward abit to feed, ive tried to put electric tape around my mags but to no avail, i was thinking a strip of tape in the back of the magwell?

have you got any tips on how to fix this?

    Re: My mags

when i had m4 d boys m4 hardly any mid caps worked for me, so i put some electrical tape in the magwell to make it a tighter fit, it made it so some of the mags worked but was a really tight fit for the mags

Armalite mags? AK mags? MP5? .45?

          Anyway, is it a mid-cap or a high-cap?

think its armalite mags marksman judging by the picture of his new gun on the picture thread
you could always try squirting a bit of silicone down your mags and leave them standing for a bit
or try tightening the mag catch

Ah, you never can be too sure.

Could it be the spring tension in the mags? - Or even the small spring guide on the lips of the magazines?

no, the mags have to be pushed foward in the magwell to feed

Forward as in facing towards the barrel or upwards? Could be the case, try the tape idea in the mag-well, never encountered this problem before.

                      Re: My mags

I know this may sound silly, but try loosening the mag catch a little. Worked on my old M4

                        Re: My mags

it clicks into the magwell then you gotta push the mag towards the front of the gun about 3cm for it too feed

Find small strips of plastic: credit card, tubberware, packaging etc and glue it to the inside of the magwell.

had this problem years ago on a Prime body kit.

what Hunter101 said or some tape and some grease on the inside of the magwell to help with mag changes

                              3 CENTIMETRES?

...maybe you have got the wrong mags? Surely you mean 3mm. lol

And have you tried other makes of mags/hicaps and stuff? Are all the mags the same make?
