  • Buying from outside the EU

    Hi all,
I know shipping is a common topic right now but after a quick search on the forum I couldn't find much,
I'm currently looking at buying a RIF from a private seller based in Asia and was wondering what can expect in the form of customs/import charges or similar implications and any way, if possible I can reduce the chance of my item being seized I.e. Shipping it in separate parts.
    Any advice would be welcomed!
    Cheers,
    -Luke

Re: Buying from outside the EU

When I order from retailers outside the EU, including ones which are not aware of the UKARA system, I ask them to print off and attach a label to the package, along the lines of the following.

    Airsoft Gun Enclosed
    UKARA Number: ######

As far as I can tell, customs haven't opened any of the packages, and seemed to process them fairly quickly. Obviously you will still get hit with the normal VAT and customs duty.
