Single shot or three round burst for preference.

However, I have no problem with people using high caps or using longer bursts of full auto.

Single shot when close and you don't want to hurt the guy, full-auto otherwise to make up for the inherent lack of accuracy of even a well-tuned gun.

Playing full GBB means for me that bursts are to be avoided. Rapid single shots coupled with better fieldcraft is my solution.

I find that absolutely the best way to get hits is to get as close to the opposing players as possible.

These are the same guys that walk around with a rig full of hicaps carrying more ammo for their m4 than matey can with his m249 whilst trying to be the world's stealthiest maraca.

I to am of the opinion that hi caps and constant fire makes for boring games. I play a small indoor site that is sin glue shot anyway. But using a gas pistol against ages with hi caps, you just get stuck either end of a
Corridor with people just constantly firing, not at anyone even, just suppressive. But it goes on forever. I run out of ammo and gas before we even have the next objective.
I usually triple tap, to be sure of a hit, rather than fire once and they don't feel it on a plate carrier.

However longer ranges outdoors, I can see 10-12 round bursts being more effective as you near the limits of your range.

Can't beat playing with a semi (ooh err)

Full auto has its place but only super short bursts.

My MG42 doesn't even have a semi-auto function. It also has a very sticky trigger. Honest.

Had a funny game a few months ago. Somebody with an M4 and a massive box mag. As he was suppressing us we were all... he'll run out eventually... he'll run out eventually.

He stopped and we rushed him... he was putting in a new battery and pulling out a second box mag from his bag. :D
