  • Is this legal?

I was at a fayre/fair in Sussex (don't ask why I was in Sussex) and there was different stalls. One of these stalls was a women selling toys and BB guns.

As I had time, I had a look at what she was selling. As you would expect, they were the standard, 'value' bb guns (and pellets) you would find. Just as I walked in, she was selling a pistol to a 7-9 year old kid. Not only was she selling him a gun, but it was not two-tone.

As I am personally against two-tone anyway, I went over and told her that - ONE, you can't sell a gun to someone below the age of 18 anyway, and TWO, You would need a UKARA license in the first place! She then told me to go away before she calls the police - Bit Ironic?

I'm not very clear on the law on this stuff...

It is indeed illegal. End of.

Actually, depends on the size; highly doubt it though.

            Re: Is this legal?

            Utterly illegal.

Yes you need to be over 18 to buy one, you don't NEED to have UKARA registration, you just need to be able to prove to the seller you're a skirmisher.

Locking this before it turns into another VCRA discussion. To the OP, good on your for taking a stand. If you need any clarification about the VCRA, read the sticky/forum in the New players section.

            Cheers.
