Always go with a gas rifle, I've personally owned around 15 of them over the years, if you want reliability and good recoil then go for a V2 GHK G5 or a KJW M4. If you want something a little more unusual then try and hunt down a KWA vector as they take 49rd mags which may be better suited to your style or a GHK AK. You have the option of going HPA but that means a bit of messing around which could be more Of a Headache then it's worth if you've not used a GBBR before.
My one bit of advice for GBBR's (especially WE) is apart from the hop rubber and an FG disc for the nozzle to limit the power, keep it standard, stay away from upgrade parts as the majority of the time parts are porley made and don't work as they should. I always found that my WE's worked best when any components that needed replacing were done
So with original manufacturer parts.
