  • About the new TM M4 SOPMOD...

    Does anyone have one yet?

I'm going to be ordering mine next week and I wonder if anyone had anything to say about them?

Ideally I'd like to know about the performance, any problems you've had with them, etc etc It'd be much appreciated.

Good looking gun, nice blowback, stops firing when mag empty.
But, you need TM Sopmod mags, can only use Sopmod specific battery, and has no upgrades atm.
If you upgrade it (m100) you need to put a new motor in (systema high torque) or it wont work very well at all.
Too much hastle for what its costs imo mate

I'm sure there is another version of the new recoil gearboxes due out fairly soon. Its more of a "normal" M4 but it doesn't use silly batteries.

okyo Marui : a M4A1 Socom Carbine, with the same blowback system than the SOPMOD. No RIS frontset and a classic 6-position stock. The Mini-S type battery 8.4V 1300 mAh goes in the handguard.

I'd go for this one myself because of the fact it uses normal batteries. The mags look awful like normal M4/16 mags too but I couldnt give you a defo answer. I'd wait it out for this one but whatever floats your boat! Its TM so its going to rock anyway
