a few quick m14 questions

hi im just looking at internal barrels for an m14 so could anyone tell me the length of teh inner barrel for both the socom and normal please

also does anyone know of a short style mag for the m14 (one the sits flush with the bottom of the receiver)?

Not sure about the inner barrel lenght, I can post when I get home and measure it. The only magazines that would fit flush with the m14 bodies are the modified shotgun magazines thtvare used in the m1 garand conversions. Don't think you can buy them "pre made"

I THINK the SOCOM and the normal version have the same inner barrel... :s

The inner barrel is 550mm I think

And the socom is smaller as barrel is 4 inch shorter the full length

Depending on the age of the M14 in question the Inner barrel length varies between 500mm and 509mm I have had them supplied with either length.

The Socom is 450mm but some aftermarket manufacturers like Tanio Koba list them as 440mm.

The 509mm if memory serves protrudes into the flash hider just a little bit. But I don't remember it being very noticeable. Remember that the Hop Bucking for the M14 is a tiny bit shorter than normal if you are planning to change that at the same time.
