Do royal mail accept postage

Are there any methods of delivery that you can use with Royal mail and still be within there guidelines for terms and conditions, ie Parcelforce 48, recorded delivery etc

Re: Do royal mail accept postage
Royal Mail will accept low powered air guns, when I post an airsoft pistol I tell them it's a low powered air pistol, but I send the gas mags under separate cover. They ask for it to be securely wrapped and the senders name and address on the reverse. Either special delivery or sign for (recorded) is best, but it can just be standard parcel. Depends on the value of the gun, but it's nice to be able to track it and know when it's been delivered.
Parcelforce 48 is o.k for rifles, but again say it's a low powered air rifle if they ask. It's not really a problem unless it's going by plane and it gets scanned. But I would send gas mags and batteries separately. I don't think the 48 service is ever flown anyway, but others might no better.
