Wiring and fuses
26 April, 2009, 15:22
Hi there.
Was going to get someone at my site to rewire my whole gun with low resistance wiring and put a mosfet in and Deans connectors. At a ********* **** they have all different wiring numbers with AWG after it. Can someone please tell me what wiring to get. Also my fuse went last skirmish so i took it out and by passed it  . What fuse should i replace it with???
All help is much appreciated!
Cheers

Re: Wiring and fuses
16 awg is the most ideal, 14 starts getting too thick to fit in the body. I think most guns come with 18 or 16 standard, dependant on manufacturer.

Re: Wiring and fuses
The lower the AWG, the lower the resistance (better).
16 or 14 will do.
What gun you got, as the mosfet & re wire will up your ROF a lot.

Re: Wiring and fuses
I have got a JG m4 s-system.
Im going to put in:
Low resistance wiring
Deans connectors
Large battery strapped to side
Mosfet
Systema Magnum Motor
Systema bushings
Systema high speed gear set
And that should do alright for me!!!

Re: Wiring and fuses
That's a pretty swish line up. Also quite a few quid, you might be worth while getting a cheap second hand donor M4, as its a lot of parts for a JG. Just silly things like the casing, brushing and bits on the JG might give you problems.
The other things is the ROF on that will be mental. If you remember how fast my MP5 shoots, that's only a high speed motor, mosfet & 8.4v battery. So you'll probably not need all that stuff to make it shoot like a mini gun.
I'd personally recommend buying a complete systema gearbox. A guy UWG told me got one for £120. That then comes with all good parts, and won't cost much more in the long run, also a reinforced gearbox. I'd say that JG case would crack at the front with that set up.

Re: Wiring and fuses
The other option would be a complete Systema Gearbox and motor and i think it would benefit if i wait and save the pennies and get that. I was thinking of getting a TM m4 with a busted gearbox!!!
Could be good to get 2 AEG's
And also i have just finished the last problems in my JG so would be nice to keep as if for some time.

Re: Wiring and fuses
If you're looking at high rate of fire, then why couple the Magnum motor with high speed gears?
Surely you'd want high torque gears, or a Turbo Motor. Either way you won't be paying more either side. So if you were looking at getting something with a crazy rate of fire, you're on the right track, just get a Turbo motor, not a Magnum.

I have heard better things about the Magnum than the Turbo.

Re: Wiring and fuses
You'll need to look up the different between Torque and Speed.
You want either...
- high speed motor & high speed gears.
- high torque motor & high torque gears.
