Hi.

I just wanted to give those of you who I have corresponded with on this fine forum a heads up. I will be closing my ThatblokewiththeScar account in a couple of weeks. Anyone I have unfinished dealings with regarding sales please drop me a pm asap. There are a few people whom I sent kit to until they had the money to pay for it, so if that’s you please drop me a line as well.

Those people who’s guns and gearbox’s I currently have strewn around my living room waiting for repairs and upgrades I will of course get all the work done and have your gear back to you as soon as parts and time allows.

I am not leaving Airsoft all together I just have a lot planned for the coming year and an upcoming change of circumstances has necessitated that a few priorities are moved around.

I originally started Airsofting as an activity for my son and I to enjoy together and we do still get to play from time to time despite Adam being away at Uni. However I had almost forgotten that this was supposed to be a fun and enjoyable game for a father and son to enjoy on the odd free weekend. But with all the anti gun, UKARA, association wars etc etc etc. Coupled with the constant search for better kit and performance I was in danger of falling out of love with the basic game and that would have been a real shame.

So I have decided to go back 4 years to when we started and just book a game day, turn up, load a few BB’s and have some fun the way Airsoft should be.

I hope to bump into a few of you at sites around the country from time to time and I will hopefully be marshaling at Elite every now and then so come and say hi.

If anyone wants to stay in touch drop me a pm and I will give you my email. As some of you know I have another little used user-name on Arnies that I will not be closing for a while yet as it has links to a UK retailer that does not deserve anyone’s custom so I will be leaving that up for a while longer. But I will no longer be an active member of this or any other forum, at least not for some time anyway.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed me onto this forum and to those members who have been kind enough to offer me help. And especially to those who had trust enough to come to me for advice.

Thanks so much for all the work you have offered to do on my guns and all the help and advice you have offered me. I am highly honoured that you would do such kind things and i fully appreciate it. It will be sad to see you being on ZI less and i hope what you have upcoming is really worth it Your a true legend and i couldn't trust anyone on this forum more to you. Thanks so much!

Thanks to all for the comments and PM's.

I just have to much going on and a lot of different things are about to happen in my life so I need to free up some space.

I still have a couple of guns to finnish up for people and I still need to sell my MP5, But I really need to focus on other things for a while.

Its a shame to hear mate, good luck with everything and i hope you come back to us soon

And another note; would it not be best to ask one of the mods to possibly lock your account? So you could come back to it later rather than getting rid of it completly?
Then when you want it back send them an email or something.
Just a thought..

take it easy boss; i get where you're coming from.

i can't speak for you or summarize how you feel, but sometimes it's best to step back from our interests, our routines, and rediscover why we fell in love with them in the first place. for me, this forum is nothing serious - i mostly talk about absolutely nothing, but for others it's a bit like work. maybe best to dump it all and start over. a bold move.
