Well said, your best of getting rid of the mp5k and getting the desired mp5 new and it will probably be cheaper

Re: Conversion!
+1 above. but at a minimum you would need the new end plate and stock so there's £60 gone. Sd suppressor, another £40-£50 new barrel £30 now you are over the cost of a new one.

Re: Conversion!
Just to make it superclear. You wont be able to attach an MP5 front end onto an MP5K. If you could, you'd have to make the hop up fit. Easiest way to do that, would be buying an MP5 body. The MP5 body won't take the gearbox from the MP5K. I'm pretty sure the stocks aren't compatible either.
Be careful on your choice of MP5 though. The TM and ICS MP5s and their clones have horrible hop up adjusters. The CA has a much nicer hop up. I think the newer JG MP5s have the CA type hop up too. I might be wrong there. The G&G MP5 is ok. I wouldn't bother with the top tech one, or the cheaper plastic blowback one. They don't make any SD versions either. So CA are the only real option in my eyes when it comes to a decent MP5 SD. Or in fact, a decent MP5s at all.

Re: Conversion!
Nothing but trouble with my tm mp5. I actually like the ics hop up adjuster, you can catch it though and alter the hop inadvertently.

Re: Conversion!
A little tip to those with lever based mp5 hops .Chop off the excess lever so you can't accidentally catch it ,you can use a pokey device to adjust it .Adjust the hop till it over hops on your desired ammo. Move the lever down to your desired level. The add the tinyest dot of super glue to hold it in place againsts the cocking tube.
