Upgrade/Lipo advice please.
24 July, 2010, 18:58
Thinking of keeping my ICS L85a2 and saving up money for upgrades ,
1. Is the ICS L85a2 Lipo ready?
2.What upgrades would you suggest?(gearbox), spring , piston bla blah
3.Just wondering If the Ares Ugl fits and what susat fits.
If Its any help i plan to Run a 11.1 V Lipo for insane ROF-
Any help or advice would be much apreciated, Also are there any techys out there that could give me a quote.
Thanks.

Re: Upgrade/Lipo advice please.
Insane, is in breaking into a million pieces?
Pretty much any weapon is "lipo ready" with the correct adjustments.
If you can correct:
- Angle of engagement
- Pre engagement
Then you pretty much good to go.
A 7.2v Lipo with G&P M120 motor and MOSFET is going to give you very fast shooting!
Just be aware of other things to consider, like finding mags to feed at that rate!

Re: Upgrade/Lipo advice please.
I'm with Jag.
Unless you want to be opening up your gearbox on regular occasions, the best thing you can do really is get a High Capacity (3000mAh +), High output (30C continuous +) 7.4v Lipo, with the likes of a G&P M120, Element Max Speed motor, Lightweight internal parts. Even a lower powered spring is going to up the ROF by a teeny tiney touch.
If I may suggest it, if you're going to be running high voltage setups, considering opting for the Silver Systema high temperature low resistance wiring; I'm planning on fitting it into all of my guns. Whilst you're at it, replace/ check the trigger contacts.
Another tip for increasing ROF - deans connectors.
If you do all of that, with the battery mentioned and an Element Max Speed, you're going to be getting around 30 rounds per second.
Please get in touch if you want general help. Please report problematic posts.
Take responsibility for your choices. If you break any rule in life, you should be held accountable.
