'Nades and being "hit"
1 May, 2009, 18:31
Hmm I've been taking note on this quite alot, and seen it a few times..
Picture this,
You've got a grenade to lob, selected where it's going, you strike it/pull pin, get up to lob it..... and within the second before you let it fly, you get hit..
What should you do?
> Let it fly, then call hit, or
> Call hit and drop it.
I've seen people get annoyed by the 1st option so many times, but then same goes for the second!
I don't use pyro/nades much myself, but just wondering what would be the right thing to do.

Re: 'Nades and being "hit"
if its a pin one put the pin back in
but if its a strike then call hit and throw it some where it is not going to kill anyone

Re: 'Nades and being "hit"
I think dropping it where you were hit is the most realistic option tbh, how many times do you see someone get thier head blown off and then proceed to throw a grenade away from friendlies?
However you have got the safety side of things as this is only a hobby but just the idea of continuing to play (ie disposing of grenade) after being hit seems odd to me.

Re: 'Nades and being "hit"
I usually drop the grenade, then most people have learnt to step back when I get the grenades out. heh.

I haven't used them much myself either but dropping it were you stand seems the best/realistic option or it blows up in your hand in the confusion before you throw it.

Indeed, call the hit, drop the grenade and apologise to those around you (if any).
