ESS ICE 2.4 safety rating
27 July, 2010, 11:43
I just bought a pair of ESS ICE 2.4 after all the rave they get on this forum but the safety rating is only CE EN 166
F
. I was planning on sorting out gaps with foam padding to essentially make them goggleish but the safety rating has now got me a little worried. Should i stick with these? If not what would people recommend GOGGLE wise (Not the V12s
).
Cheers, iKiX

Re: ESS ICE 2.4 safety rating
the MoD issues these to serving troops in theatre, so i'm sure they're enough to stop a BB if they're expected to protect against bomb fragments.

They are military issue glasses they are fine, the "issue" is the arms they are not rated.
