MP5k custom to look like a smaller mp5sd
15 August, 2010, 20:26
Looking to get the OH a mp5 for a xmas gift and was thinking a mp5k but really want it to look like the mp5sd but that is a little to big.
Can it be done or can you just buy one? :D

Don't think you can buy one but could be done with the right skills and a big enough wallet.

How about making a Heckler & Koch SP89?

The real-steel is semi only but they could probably be converted to full auto, of course in airsoft doesn't really matter too much. Also its not actually suppressed but to me it has that look about it, I suppose you could always graft a suppressor into the front-end.
An airsoft SP89 foregrip is made by a Chinese manufacturer called 'Hornbill'. If you shop around I'm sure it will pop up.

Re: MP5k custom to look like a smaller mp5sd
As a related note, the only reason that the SP89 does not have the MP5K's vertical grip is that it's primary target was the US market. In the US, a pistol with a foregrip is considered a short barreled rifle under the National Firearms Act (NFA). This adds a $200 tax stamp and several months of wait for a background check to the purchase. The airsoft foregrip on the K is a nice thing to have during CQB, so I would suggest you save that and add a short suppressor or tracer unit to one.

I believe the sp stands for sports pistol, it was designed for target shooting or something.
oh and the little bit on the front is not a mini grip lol, its to stop your hand from slipping infront of the muzzle
talking of such check this dumbass out

Re: MP5k custom to look like a smaller mp5sd
That's a normal K with a RIS front-end, a top-rail, rail covers, a RIS vert grip and a short suppressor. RIS would probably be the most expensive part other than the gun itself of course. Using Chinese accessories would bring the price down - might be a clone of the RIS front set around.

Anything less than full size (and seriously, I could hold a MP5SD sliding stock in palm of my hand) is going to look like on of them 2/3 size market stall plinkers!

MP5K PDW with a snub suppressor?
Like this with a shorter suppressor?

Now see...that looks nice, nothing market stallish about that.
Is there a silencer adaptor for galaxy mp5k?
