A good quality 7.4V li-po should give approximately the same ROF as a 9.6V NiMH battery.

11.1 small bat with torque up gears and a slow motor something like a TM EG1000. Should be fine.

                    Re: 9.6v lipos?

All lipo cells are 3.7v , therefore the most popular sized packs for airsoft are 7.4v (2 cells) or 11.1v ( 3 cells).
This voltage rating is the voltage when the pack is discharged. When fully charged my 7.4 v packs read around 8.7 v. Therefore the 7.4 v pack is perfect for aeg s that normally use 8.4v batteries.
I would not recommend you use 11.1v lipo packs in anything but upgraded guns with re-enforced gearboxes.

                    I hope this helps.

Not really I have used them and found them no better than 7.4's.

You would be better to do my other post above, imo.

aye my gun uses a 9.6 tho

seems a little sluggish on a 7.4, hopefully the highspeed motor ive bought will sort that out ifnot il have to go to a 11.1

How do you get 9.6 Li Po's Take a look at intellects site. Not one 9.6 li po. Take a look at Kokams site, not one 9.6 Li Po. Take a look at Thunderpowers site, no 9.6 Li Pos.

I could go on but I won't. The fact is as said above each cell is 3.7 volts so you can only increment you battery size by 3.7 per cell. FACT!!!

You could try a higher C rating battery, and also higher Mah rated batteries, or a combination of both. For instance try a 7.4 1600mah with a 25 or 30C rating. You will find your gun will work beeter than expected.
