I'm looking for a good GBB pistol to just have fun with, will probably take it to a skirmish but it is mainly for having fun screwing around in the back garden so plenty of kick would be good and using green gas so something that hopefully wont fall to pieces :P

I've looked at the TM Hi-Capas (5.1 and 4.3) and the TM FN 5-7 but not sure which/if there is any other good option. What would be best for mucking about?

    Cheers, iKiX

          Get the FN 5-7

IVe got one, its an amazing pistol. It kicks like a beast, its very economic on its gas use, its got a surprisingly good range and accuracy for a pistol and it looks the bees knees.

The only problem with it is that getting spare mags for it is a bitch as everywhere seems to be constantly sold out of them >=|

If you're looking for something cost effective i would highly reccommend the Marui M9 series and if you feel like something fancy a Maruzen P99 or PP7 :-) Nothing like a Walther

Using green gas what is the likelyhood of the TM plastic slides breaking in some way?

on most of thier newer guns it should be fine to run it on green gas, but to be honest, unless youre using a full metal pistol or its a particularly cold day, I dont see the point in using green gas really, at the kind of ranges youll be using a pistol, abbey ultra is more than suitable, and it wont wreck your slide.

Wise words indeed. If you get something like a TM, it's fine for plinking and is perfectly skirmishable too. Use Ultra for garden plinking and Green if you're skirmishing with it, that way it keeps the wear down

I had a HFC Glock 17 which was really nice and had a great kick
Fail that a TM M9 would be a good starter pistol
