P226 Safety
25 August, 2010, 15:52
OK so this might be a VERY VERY stupid and ridiculous question but ive just got my TM P226 and I cant find the safe, not sure if it actually has one! Havnt actually looked in the manual but thats upstairs and Im too lazy to move my ass from the sofa and family guy too look so thought I would ask before I make that effort!
Can anyone help?
Apologies for my laziness!

Re: P226 Safety
Short answer: No, it doesn't. It has the de-cocking mechanism for that job really
I am sure someone will say why it wont on the real version.
(Damn beaten to it by seconds :D)

Re: P226 Safety
in terms of safety, its not like an M4 lol but if u cock the hammer at the back the switch to return it forward is above the mag release in the middle.

Re: P226 Safety
It does have a safty just not a very good one. The catch just above the trigger (Also used for stripping it.) Just press the flat side of it and it will pop out a bit but will stop. Gun is now on safty. But dont trust it. It is very easy to knock off.

Yep exactly what i was thinking.
Pic shows my kjw p226 taken down the moving parts of the trigger mech are at least an inch from that takedown lever.
Not even the real has a saftey.

Re: P226 Safety
Well these are not real one's these are toy's. So an added saftey real or not doesnt matter.

Its not a bloody safety its a fault.
Thats why its not "reliable" some safety that is!!
And as for the being "toys" wtf has that got to do with it?
My m9 has a saftey ohhh and guess what so does the real one, what a coincidence.

Re: P226 Safety
Yes an M9 does have a safety so thats fine.
The P226 didnt have one so they added one to make it slightly safer.
