  • Want a Sniper Rifle! Which one

    Hi guys,

I am after a sniper rifle or single shot aeg (if that makes sence) so I can use for sniping.

I am after good range and dont mind paying upto £400.

I dont want something that weighs a ton either.

    Any help would be appreciated

Probably looking at more than £400 for a brand new TM VSR with all the internals swapped out for higher end ones. Assuming you used laylax, you'd be looking at:
(these are retail prices, roughly off the top of my head)

            Base Rifle: £160
            SP150 spring (to give ~500 fps): £16
Zero Trigger (to give upgraded piston, new sears, and a nice smooth trigger): £180
Spring Guide (as the stock is plastic): £25
Teflon Cylinder (as you'll need to drill the existing cylinder to get to the spring, which in most cases seems to destroy/seriously weaken the existing cylinder): £100
Cylinder head (as you'll need one): £20
Hard Bucking for the Hop: £15
            Tight Bore Barrell: £45
Mount rail if not using Gspec: £10
Some kind of scope: Depends on tastes, but probably looking at £20-£100 depending on what you want. You can probably find one for less, and you can definately find one for more.

            Optional:
            Bi-Pod (I love mine, wouldn't be without it): £40+
            Silent Dampers: £18
            Barrell spacers: £18
            Silencer: £15+
Expanding foam to fill stock for quieter shots: £10?

            It's quite a bit.

what the hell are you on about ,

half the parts you listed you DONT need in the vsr ,
FPS IS NOTHING IN A SNIPER RIFLE , ACCUARACY AND CONSTANCY WINS

Op , get a gspec mate , then look in the tech section single shot thread as there is loads and loads of options for upgrading ,

Re: Want a Sniper Rifle! Which one

Can a stock VSR be used effectively without all these upgrades? Im not a sniper, but fancy something different every now and then. Do you think a stock VSR can withstand use with a ~350 FPS spring?

VSR, cheap and reliable. - Also lightweight for those long skirmishes.
