Re: diy ar57 type m4
very nice.
If it was me, though, I'd leave the batt in a conventional place so people didn't think I'd cheated and still get BBs from the original mag.

was going to say to rid of the magazine but you cant since you said you have the battery in there.
what about the carry handle however? is that important or can you remove it? saw a picture just now with an eotech

Re: diy ar57 type m4
the carry handle is temporary at present as until i make the rear reciever /mag holder block its the only way to hold the mag on.
alot of ar57 owners fit a hollowed mag to their guns to direct the ejecting shells away from them or fit case catchers ,sort of what i modelled the padded mag on.

Re: diy ar57 type m4
the major headache was turning the origional hop upside down, praise dremel.
adjustment is now from inside the magwell untill i get a cheap p90 hop unit

Re: diy ar57 type m4
Nice dremel work!
I realise that people fit shell catchers, my thinking was that as you'd gone to so much work to make the P90 mag work, why risk some plank telling people that it's a fake and that the padded mag has the BBs.

Re: diy ar57 type m4
after listening to comments, ive ditched the mag and fitted the battery in a cutout in the bottom of the ris covered by a rail cover.
