Favor? Size of an m16/m4 handguard cap?

i brought a classic army ris for my agm m16, but the handguard cap was too small. so ive been looking to get another one.

i was hoping someone could measure their handguard cap (top of the inside of the triangle to the bottom.) so i know it is to do with the cap and not my ris system.

a standard ca handguard cap off a m15 is 40mm inside the the cap ( round type )
