ok im fairly new to airsoft, ive got the jist on upgrades for AEG's

But whats the crack on upgrading pistols

any information would be greatly appreciated

Well.... there are metal kits available, threaded barrels, extended magazines, hi-flow valves, lanyard adapters, new trigger/ hammer sets, sights, RIS rail attachments, rubberised grips, so on. Depends what you want to end up with.

im on the route of more power am i right in saying that higflow valves are upgrades on the mags?

Yes, they're in the mags. For more power, Guarder and similar companies do upgraded nozzles and piston components.
