fps bolt action rifles close up?

i like using my mp001 without a scope i can shoot pretty accuratly without a scope. And i know that the FPS limits on bolt action rifles is 500 fps. Can you use a bolt action rifle( mp001 400-430 fps) close up in the frontline with its FPS.

Most sites have a 30m engagement range for single actions and guns with high FPS no?

Agreed, 30 Yards for my site (pretty much the same thing). Have you thought about tuning the rifle down to whatever the AEG limit is? A well tuned spring rifle equal in power to an AEG should still out range an AEG no problems. Maybe a TK Twist Barrel? That's what I use.
