Nooks and crannies for r85

i have a AA r85, i noticed alot of people change them to a2 by changing the cocking handle and mag catch guard or suming, can someone enlighten me please

you can buy the A2 tear drop cocking handle from a UK retailer,
Dont ask for links as we cant do it , google and you will see

i know the rules, i think my local 'supporting fire' has one but im more interested in this mag catch guard thingy

the mag catch guard is not available on the airsoft market mate ,
it was designed just for the a2 and its welding onto the gun after making it, stops you hitting the match catch mid fire fight
best bet is to get some one in engineering to make a 2mm wide curved bit of aliminium and tig weld or mig weld it onto the gun while it is just the shell with no internals insde ,
or just put a bit or weld onto the pin running through the mag catch stop it moving
