Batterys.
9 January, 2009, 22:12
Do mini batterys have the same performance as a large battery?
My large battery usually lasts a whole day of skirmishing, and i was wondering if a mini battery could match this.
A full day of skirmish, i usually shoot 2000-3000 bb's (really roughly!)
If they aren't as long lasting as large, how many mini's would i need to match it?
Thanks.

Re: Batterys.
Well They haven't got the same capacity as the large ones as they are smaller and have less cells.
I think the largest 8.4 Mini battery i've seen is 1400Mah, to some that could last all day but to others two or even maybe 3 would be ideal.

Re: Batterys.
Largest 8.4 mini I've seen is my new intellect. 1600mah.
Large batteries have more MAH, beacuse they are bigger. That's as much as I can dum it down. Also, they have less resistance due to larger Mah, ond so give better ROF than smalls (assuming full charge and the same voltage on both). The difference is fairly minor though. The largest Mah 8.4v I've seen on a large is 4600. THat will last a whole weekend of pretty much constant use..
Generall, I equate 200mah to about 1hrs skirmishing. Thus 1200mah is just about enough to get you through a day. It'll start to die on the last round. 1400mah will comfortably get you there. 1600 mah is fine. 4600mah, you're laughing.

Re: Batterys.
If you normally get through a maximum of 2500rds and are using a gun around 300fps or so you will be fine.
My P90 by TM lasted 3000 on a VP 1400mah easily and that was stock at 285fps.

Re: Batterys.
FPS doesn't have anything to do with battery life.
Largest NI-CAD/ NI-MH battery = 7200mAh I think, one of those HK jobbies. I've recently bought from spetsdave (thanks) a 7.4v 5000mAh 30C battery - no one can tell me that's not going to last 3 days! Hehe. And it's even smaller than an 8.4v large too!
