King arms FAL makeover.

Basicly i have got the long Fal with that nasty Belgian foregrip that creeks and wobbles.

were do you think would be the best place to get an S.L.R fore-grip would be... i know they were made in inch pattern and my king arms is a metric pattern rifle (which sucks) but I want to try to convert it to more of an L1A1 looking rifle for a more British load-out...

anybody know what the next best thing to a S.U.IT sight is without paying the best part of £400 quid

any help will be appreciated!!

real steal SLR wood grips fit it, i know a few guys at my site who have them, very little work involved fitting them, just trying to source would be the problem.

Jfox has done it hasnt he? I think he picked a whole wood kit up at the War and Peace show this year.. He got the forgrip to fit but the stock was a no go if i remember rightly... Might be a good idea to ask him?

sweet. yeah those elacans look sweet, might try a spectre dr and bring it into the 21st century, and yeah im trwaling the net at the moment sourcing seems to be a problem,

I've found sites in the U.S of A but only one in the uk selling a plastic fore grip for £25!!

I've sent you a PM with the name of a deac suppliers that has woodern fore grips for £25 pound. Theres another shop that normaly does then for around £18-£20 but they have'nt got any at the moment but may be worth a call.
Fitting only takes a bit of work on the retaining ring that holds the rear of the fore grip, it normally needs a pich a pinch to hold the real grips a bit tighter.

If you are looking for SUITs or stocks etc then try FAL forum, its got a classifieds section with decent prices and good sellers.
I went for the marksman look for mine, its a STAR L1A1.

When I had my FAL, before I traded it here, I used to peruse the following for RS bits and bobs:

As above, Gunthings is where I got a plastic forend, flash hider and charging handle assembly. All needed a tweek to make them fit but have resulted in a rifle I would never part with.

heres some more ideas, i think the 203 is a great idea but theres a lot of weight there! the one thing im missing is the 30rnd mag, i cant get one for my STAR L1A1 so it looks like im going to have to make mine.
