Re: In Transit - Custom Charges?
Is there anyway to specify which courier sevice in the UK you would like to handle your parcel?
Prehaps some people who have done a lot of importing should write a guide and get it stickied somewhere on the forum.

Re: In Transit - Custom Charges?
As a piece of advice to anyone dealing with parcelfarce, you can refuse to pay them and have it sent back to customs. You can then contact customs directly to pay only the import charges and you don't have to pay parcelfarce for their "time & effort" charge...
However this is assuming you're willing to wait another 2 weeks just to save yourself £13.

Re: In Transit - Custom Charges?
Don't use parcelforce. They will pay you customs fees for you EVEN if it doesn't get held, then send it back if you don't pay. It's a cheeky trick and on the face of it makes them seem upstanding. The reality is it's just to fob off customers.

Re: In Transit - Custom Charges?
I had an odd one.
Parcel from the US left with neighbours with a big "Cannot be delivered until paid" sticker on it. That was about 2 weeks ago - nothing yet...
