Seems pointless
24 May, 2009, 23:08
Now is it me, or does anyone else get kinda angry about this. People who are obsesive over guns. AK's and M4's you will always see loads off. But lately at my site the new craze it a full auto sniper rifle, doing close to 450FPS, the SR25. I now have 4 at my local skirmish site. We live in a small town and we only get about 20 people everytime we're out (still fun) but i fear this could be taken away. Simply because of the SR - nooby - 5. Anyone else have similar thoughts about guns?

Re: Seems pointless
Whats to Eh about? A small site with 20 people and nearly a quarter of them having a full auto sniper rifle firing at 450FPS? I just think its quite a n00b thing.

Re: Seems pointless
A full auto airsoft gun doing 450 fps is pretty much illegal by any interpretation of the law....

Re: Seems pointless
450fps w/.20g on full auto is illegal, aside from that, knowledge and precision tuning could easily have the edge over a cheap fps upgrade and a powerful battery.

Indeed, seconded. Anyway i dont see the point in having insane fps like that when a tm m14 running ~300 fps is all you need, that or get in close with a pistol =]

Re: Seems pointless
Well yeah, but it'd been covered :P
To the OP, how are they getting away with that? Did no-one think to cause a fuss? Or do you mean single shot SR25s at 450? Mind you that's still illegal.

Do they not chrono the guns? Do the site organisers know about them?

My site being unregistered, everyone is laid back. The gun comes with a stock FPS of 375 but the guys at my site have put quite large batterys in them as well as a few mods to up the FPS. which is kinda crap. I have an M4 firing at about 340FPS and a G3 firing around 360FPS.

Re: Seems pointless
if they are firing single shot i think that would be fine but if there are that many SR 25s split them equally between the teems.

Re: Seems pointless
Quite simply... time for a new site.
I'm assuming from what you say there is no public liability insurance held too.
I think I'd rather play somewhere which was a little more professional!
