  • guarder polycarb bodies for TM FN-5.7

Just saw these on somewhere that supports fire, and I was wondering if theyre worth getting, has anyone seen/handled one and what difference does it make. Also how difficult is it to change over the internals into a new body?

They're amazing. Feel and look a lot nicer, and have proper trades. Had the tan one on my old 5-7 before I traded up for my Foliage Green 5-7.

They're not so easy to swap however. You need an Allen key thy can't be wider than half a mil. Not to mention if you're not careful you'll thread the screw that holds the slide release. Not for the faint hearted.

    Worth it though.

I hear of the Guarder kits for the TM Glocks, that the material they use is more prone to cracking than the material TM use. To me, an after-market part that's worse than the stock part, isn't worth buying. I'd include metal slides in that. Your opinion may differ, but bear in mind their may be negatives to this kit.
