Re: thoughts on ares/star
All my AEG's are Ares now. I have the Scar, Tar, and just got the L85A2. The externals on all 3 are wonderful, really good. The guns also have a good weight to them.
Now I've had alot of trouble with the scar, I wrote about it in the appraisals section.
The Tar I took out for a whole day with no problems what so ever, fired nicely on both full and semi, good ROF and decent range.
Looking forward to trying out the L85.
All in all, I like Ares, as their externals are great and guns look and feel ace. And when put with above average internals, I'm happy to use them.
It will take less bullets to kill him now than if we wait for him to turn into a zombie.
The elderly. They seem nice enough, but can they really be trusted ?

Great guns great quality but you can get the same results for much cheaper the only thing that isn't over priced is their mid caps which come in boxes of 10

Re: thoughts on ares/star
I have a Ares L85 sa80, M4A1 and G36k.
I love the guns really well made with great quality externals.
No cheap plastic or pot metal.
Real shit customer support though.
I need some replacement parts and there really hard to find.
Sadly they don't seem to use parts from CA or ICS they all seem to be unique.

Re: thoughts on ares/star
Had a scar-l, externals were pretty damn good i must say. Internals were nice aswell, although the hop played me about.
Got the l85 now, completely flawless.

Re: thoughts on ares/star
As Oliver said if your going for the M4 it doesn't strip in the same way as other m4's.
It comes apart in two half's the upper and the lower.
I was a little disappointed in this after I bought it and found out.
I believe it is because the hop unit is built into the gearbox so can't tilt forward like most other do.
