Re: GBB sr25
Hey,
I'm probably not the best persont o ask about internals of a gbb - although I own a WE Scar - but I have got a Classic Army m16 which I wanted to turn into a dmr. That I have done and I really liked the look of the sr-25 and wanted to turn mine into one but found out the cost to do this was stupid. Going off subject a bit but hay.
To turn an m4 into a sr-25 you would need to buy the complete sr-25 front kit - I think G&P do one but this is approximately £300 for that alone. Secondly you'd need to buy the correct body for it to become an sr-25. The reciever is slightly different to m4/m16s. That alone is also roughly £300 from what I've seen, a lot of money and also rare to pick up. The one that I've seen only holds version 2 gearboxes so not sure about gbb. You'd also need the sr-25 mags which are bigger than normal m16 (as the real steel variant takes bigger rounds). Not sure if they do gas mags for that either. To complete the look you'd then need a harris bipod, m3 scope and a full stock depending on personal preference obviously.
You could scrap the body and just put the front end on with silencer and use some vn mags in the m4 and you would have an sr-15 but the choice is yours.
I know that with a lot of money you could turn an m4 aeg into an sr-25 but I'm unsure if you could do the same for a gas blowback. Hope that helps mate.

Re: GBB sr25
i wanted to dp this - main problem is incompaitable SR kits and also the only mags produced for WE/WA guns are 5.56 mm curved santag mags, rather than the straight 7.62 mags.
That being said, i believe muzzy made a GBB SR25, ask him

Re: GBB sr25
hi, this guy is the WE airsoft R&D dept, they have been playing with stuff like sheel ejection for a while but it would never catch on as the shells are expensive and not throw away.
the sr 25 was nodded using the kjw shell ejection system with the air running out of the gun from a tank.
cool gun though.

I suppose the WE GBB M14 mags are fairly close to SR25 mags, if you're not too fussed about absolute perfection then I'd imagine they'd be the best substitute, at least until someone does a GBB Scar-H

Re: GBB sr25
Depending on funds. Why not PolarStar an SR25 that takes V2 gearbox's? Expensive, but reliable GBB's are generally expensive, and HPA is the best.
