Need to see what a m16a1 looks like with heat sheild
19 November, 2010, 17:54
As title. I love m16's I want to see what one would like like with just the heat shield and NOT the m203. If anybody has one could you post some pic without the m203 but just the heat shield. Preferably from underneath and side views of the whole gun.
Thanks Guys

I can't see it being very comfy to grip as there will be a large gap between the two sides of the heat shield. Also, it would be a bit loose without the m203 to make it sturdy.Any reason why you want the m203 heatshield without the m203? It looks a bit wierd to be honest...

Without the M203 there is a massive gap and the heat shield will be very flimsy. The whole point is to use it with a M203.

There are some compatibility issues between TM and G&P yes... Minor, but they are there.

Yes there are, as BEN says, issues. Not for fitting the shield I may add, but for fitting a 203. The shield fits, the 203's, depending on which one you use, have problems with the guns as the barrel dimensions are wider on the G&P. B.E.N kindly sent me a bracket to help with mine. Unfortunately still didn't fit properly but was easier to bodge fit than the original.
If you still need to see an airsoft one fitted giv me a pm. Also if you itend buying a shield then imo there's only one worth considering and that's the G&P. Not cheap though at around £40 new, and secondhand ones are like Rocking horse poo.
