personally just use some straws to unjam stuff if i have not got a propper cleaning rod.


to get the straws out just dry fire once

I use a cut to length piece of bicycle outer brake casing with ends on, perfect diameter

Yep, great idea. The patent pending "Webbo Compact Unjamming Rod" was inspired after an on-the-fly unjamming experience and the only tool at hand being a length of stout insulated cable.

The brake cable idea sounds great though.

I know one of my mates uses the bit of cord that is in his plate carrier.

You can probably use anything that is the right length and has no sharp edges (thats the key so you dont scratch the inner barrel)
