a&k m60 mk43 hop unit

Hi there, recently got my m60, but it would seem the hop unit is busted. When the barrel is in place, I can't adjust the hop, but when I take the barrel out, the hop wheel spins fine. Just wondering if any one knows anything about it or if any one has had the same problem as I can't find any info on it.

they are pretty stiff when new a tiny squirt of silicon might help failing that try using somethng to lever it a little---be gentle though.. i took mine out when i got it--changed the rubber and bucking from stock to a madbull and then let it alone its been fine ever since (now 110 000 rounds later!)
