  • Fps vs bb weight

Hi guys i tried google and the search function on here, wasnt sure how to word it so didnt bring much up.

Anyone know a correct bb weight to FPS deviation, like a chart or rule of thumb.

    300fps with .25 = ..... with .2g

Only got .25s at home to use in my chrono, thanks joe

There is a little something called physics also.

Ke = 1/2mv^2 (where Ke is kienetic energy in Joules, m is mass in Kg, and v is velocity in meters per second)

I can see why it might be a bit more effort than some people are willing to put in to do the conversion manually, but it works.

The problem, MajorLandmark, is the mixture of units.

BB mass in metric and muzzle velocity in imperial make for added complications.

There is also a thing called google, with which you are no doubt familiar. It includes 'google calculator' which will convert units for you, and do sums. If you rearrange that equation properly and express it correctly, google can even do the remaining math.

All you need to do is type "350 feet per second in m/s" or whatever, and it will indeed tell you.
