I am looking for a doner gun for my next project.

What I need.

Reasonable externals.
V3 gear box.
Preferably 8mm shims.
Barrel no longer than 400. So no bull pups.
I would like to get a large battery in the stock or front end.

I thought JG G36C any others you can think off? Although they are 7mm I think.

I'm not bothered by internals as they will be scouped out and binned.

As much as I like the AKSU's, I can't use a monster battery...K is to long...

Barrel needs to be no longer than 400mm or it won't feed properly.

Are MP5s v3 gearbox? I believe they are right?

And midas, thought you already done an AKSU, thats my project atm, need to decide whether to order parts from hk or uk... Hmmm entirely different debate lol

MP5K's are V3 as you would normally slide the battery over the top of the gearbox to store it.

I might just do another M41.
