    While examining my TM pistol, I cam accross a "ASGK" trademark.

    Anyone know what this means?

    Quick googling came up with this:

    ASGK stands for Airsoft Gun Kai (regulating organization for Airsoft manufacturers). It basically says that guns made in Japan (just Japan I think) have to have plastic receivers, etc, so they cannot be altered to fire real ammunition. Another rule they have is that all those Japanese made airsoft guns must have a safety of some sort, even if the real steel variant doesn't have one (for example the safety on the P226).

    They may have many more rules, I'm not sure.

    ASGK is a standard's association.

    A product bearing the ASGK logo signifies that it complies with the standards put forward by the association to meets minimum requirements. Besides safety features and standards that meet federal law requirements, the standard also bears on the quality of the product manufactured.
