  • Finding a screw type for airsoft parts?

I emailed PDI the other day asking for the dimensions of a screw hole for an L96 hop up. They're Japanese so the reply was very short and concise,

    they gave me dimensions of

    2.5 x 0.7mm screw type.

Anyone who knows a little bit more about screws and perhaps where to source one for the average Joe who needs to replace screws once in a while?

    Andy.

0.7 is not the normal pitch of a 2.5mm screw.
The standard coarse M2.5 pitch would be 0.45mm

I realised the thread wasn't the regular type as I tried some 2.5mm screws already that don't fit it, hence sending an email to PDI. Just was wondering if anyone knows places that i'd be able to find what i'm looking for, google isn't particularly great at this.

You could try the bay, type the size and pitch in the search bar. Normally works.

Thinking about it, it might be a self-tapping thread. They're usually very coarse.
