WRT time taken, batch production (making a few at once) cuts time.
When I make Cutts compensators to fit on Cyma/TM M1A1s, it takes about 1.5 hours if I make 1 at a time, or about 2 hours if I make 2 at once.
That's manual lathe and mill.

i have manually lathed a piston extension for my sr25 which would have worked beautifully if my motor had the torque!
and made a custom handle for my vsr.
the advantage of having a uni workshop at my disposal.
im sure alot of people would be after parts, but something like that american guys vsr trigger. if someone sat down and did a full redesign for a common gun, that fills a need, or makes something better etc etc
